About The Overlook

Gatlinburg is one of the most popular destinations for families looking to getaway. Located in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, it is no wonder that the natural beauty and bustling activities bring families back year after year. Nestled adjacent to the National Park boundary, The Overlook mountain cabin is the perfect getaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and experience Gatlinburg from the best location possible. The cabin sits on a secluded lot surrounded by tall trees and lush greenery, providing privacy and a sense of peacefulness while still being only a 1/2 mile from the main street of Gatlinburg. It is less than a mile’s walk to the trailhead that leads you to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park welcome center.

The front of the cabin provides parking for 5 cars, and a charcoal grill that you can use to fuel up after a day of exploring the town. The backyard is completely secluded with views of Gatlinburg and Anakeesta, blocked only partially by the trees that surround the property and change to deep reds and orange in the fall. There is a fire pit with chairs, 2 picnic tables, and a covered hot tub all for your enjoyment during your stay.

Inside, the cabin is warm and welcoming, with cozy furnishings and decor. The main living area features a stone fireplace and comfortable sofas, perfect for snuggling up on a cold winter night. The fully-equipped kitchen has all the necessary appliances and cookware to prepare a delicious meal, and there is a dining table that seats six.

The cabin has four bedrooms, each with its own unique charm. The main level master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, and a twin bed with a private en suite bathroom with a custom walk in shower. Upstairs, you will find a 2nd master bedroom, again equipped with both a king-size bed, and a twin bed along with its own private en suite bathroom with another custom walk in shower. The 3rd bedroom has a king size bed, sharing a hall bathroom. The final bedroom is a bunkroom complete with twin over twin bunks and a queen size bed. The hall bathroom has plenty of counter space and a tub/shower combo. All the bedrooms have comfortable bedding and plenty of storage space.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area, including hiking and biking trails, fishing, and horseback riding. The cabin is also just a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg, where you can find a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options.
